The Cavallino Classic and Our Common Cause
Piston Foundation CEO, Robert P. Minnick, reports on our growing partnership with the Cavallino Classic and Canossa Events, and our shared commitment, with Canossa Chairman Luigi Orlandini, to bring more young people into the collector car industry through skilled trade career opportunities.

Last month we escaped the New England winter to spend a warm weekend at the Palm Beach Cavallino Classic. The new owners of this well-loved Ferrari-focused show, Canossa Events, produced a wonderful four days of car culture that included a track day, a driving tour, the Concorso d’Eleganza featuring 75 years of Ferrari, and the eclectic and exciting Classic & Sports Sunday.
With 147 Ferraris on the Concorso lawn, 85 cars for the Classic & Sports Sunday, and over 2,000 attendees, the Cavallino Classic was a success for collector car enthusiasts. It was also the beginning of an important new partnership between the Piston Foundation and Canossa Events.

Supporting Skilled Trade Career Opportunities
The Foundation was featured as one of four charitable organizations supported by the Cavallino Classic. Myself, COO Jeff Mason, and Special Advisor Chris Mason, had many conversations, in our booth and on the show fields, with enthusiasts who support our mission to bring more young people into the collector car industry through skilled trade career opportunities. It’s also a cause supported by Canossa Chairman Luigi Orlandini.

“One of the very first tasks I set myself was to increase the charitable contributions of the Cavallino Classic, to continue supporting the organizations we have already helped in previous years, and to also launch some new initiatives.” said Luigi Orlandini, Chairman of Canossa and Cavallino. “As the lucky father of three kids, I strongly believe that the younger generation is the most important part of our future, and young people deserve our help to seize their opportunities in life. I also wanted to support the community of Palm Beach, the beautiful town that is such an important part of the success of the Cavallino Classic.”
We’ll have more exciting news about our partnership with Canossa in the months ahead. Check out the official event video and put the 2023 Cavallino Classic on your calendar for next year.
